A note on Balmori Software article: The tax relief Republic Act No. 9504 is about to affect how you compute your payroll Whatever the official guidelines end up specifying, users of SURE! PayMaster shall be able to comply easily. SURE! PayMaster V.7 will allow users to tag/untag each employee's pay components as exempt from or subject to income tax; and the software will do the rest as always, all the way to payslip printing. It is important to note that SURE! PayMaster in its current version, and even in its many old versions through the years, already allows users to exempt either employees or types of income from withholdingtax; but, as stated elsewhere in this article, there is an important difference between being exempt from withholding tax, and being exempt from incometax.
